My Best Friend. No doubt, everyone dreams of having a true and faithful friend but not all of us are lucky enough to find one. Frankly speaking, I’m rather sociable, that’s why I have many friends. As for me I’m happy with my friends. Firstly, I don’t have "fair weather” friends. Secondly, all my friends are very pleasant people, and I’m never bored with them. My best friend is Masha. We study in the same class and though she doesn’t live next door we manage to spend much time together. In appearance she is very attractive. She has an oval face, a straight nose, thick dark hair, big brown eyes and a pleasant smile. |

My Favourite Book (Gone with the Wind) I've recently read a book which has made a very deep impression on me. It's called Gone with the Wind and it makes really unforgettable reading. The author of the book is Margaret Mitchell. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, into a family of the president of the Atlanta Historical Society. All the family were interested in American history and she grew up in an atmosphere of stories about the Civil War. |

My Favourite Literary Character My favourite literary character is Eliza Doolittle. Eliza is one of the principal characters of "Pygmalion”, Bernard Shaw’s famous comedy. Eliza, a girl of eighteen, comes from the lowest social level and speaks with a strong Cockney accent. She makes her own living by selling flowers in the streets of London. |

My Favourite Subject Speaking about my favourite subject I must admit that I was privileged to study at a school where the English language was taught since the first form. It wasn't a specialized English school, it was the school of fine-arts. Since the first days at school English has become my favourite subject. At the age of 7 we were introduced into foreign speech and were taught to read, write and listen to short texts in English. |

My future career When you leave school you understand that the time to choose your future profession, your future life has become. It's not an easy to make the right choice of a job. I have known for long time that leaving school is the beginning of my independent life, the beginning of a far more serious examination of my abilities and character. |

My home is my castle I think, every person always dreams about a place where he can speak about his problems, chat with close friends, where he can feel happy and quiet. Cause they don’t realize that they’ll break their lives by divesting themselves of the greatest years. Cause at that age they all are still children and children can only play representing a family but it’s wrong to transform such a game into a reality, cause they are to young to do it. |
